In Early 2001, two friends from the San Fernando Valley were introduced to the idea of freelance news gathering, or stringing. Also known as stringers, Josh Harville and Ryan Ling chased local and regional breaking news from the high desert to the mountains of Ventura County. Over the years, they have covered everything from police pursuits, fires, traffic accidents, weather related incidents including wind, rain and snow, animal rescues, Natural Disasters and even the lighter side of news, the happy stories. Josh and Ryan have been working together since 1995, starting out taking 35mm still pictures. Refining their skills as they grew up, they later mastered the technique of Electronic News Gathering, using Digital still cameras and Digital Video, using the best industry standard professional equipment.
